Kim Vaughn is a three-time International Quartet Champion and Queen of Harmony. She is also a Certified Sound Judge, Master Sweet Adelines International Faculty member, and a member of the Region 21 Hall of Fame. 

 

Kim Vaughn Vocals offers virtual and onsite coaching for choruses, quartets and individuals as well as judging and adjudication. She often mentors chorus directors in the barbershop world, and is frequently a keynote or facilitator for Regional Retreats, music schools and chorus intensives.

Developing a Brand Worthy of a Crown (or Three)

Kim Vaughn invited Nicknox Communications to serve in a Fractional Chief Marketing Officer. In that capacity, Nicknox guided the ideation and development of a personal brand for Kim Vaughn Vocals and the message strategy and creation of a website. The scope of this engagement also included branded merchandise, advertising, service and e-learning positioning and brand alignment of social media presence.

Web Presence

As a frequently sought after barbershop coach for choruses, quartets and individual singers, Kim wanted a simplistic and engaging web presence. In addition to offering free 20-minute vocal assessments and details about coaching and adjudication offerings, Vaughn wanted to celebrate a lifetime of singing with friends. The result is a site that brings together Kim's personal and professional accomplishments with a tone and look that reflects the vibrance and warmth she is known for.

Identity Package

Vaughn envisioned a dynamic, colorful and fun brand identity that would be memorable. As a three-time international Queen of Harmony, including a crown was a natural touch. Cascading Kim's identity across business cards and other key takeaways established brand consistency and high recall.

Advertising & Promotion

Vaughn coaches and adjudicates throughout the U.S. and internationally. She often facilitates music schools, tailoring the content in support of leadership development and barbershop vocal best practices. She promotes her coaching services at key regional and international Sweet Adelines events to raise awareness.

Branded Merchandise

Developing key pieces of branded promotional merchandise was a fun touch of consistency to reinforce Vaughn's identity package. Her swag package included water bottles, bags, notebooks and holographic stickers featuring her distinctive mark.

E-Learning Ideation

In developing the web presence for KimVaughnVocals.com, Kim was looking to the future at ways to effectively capture some of her most requested coaching topics. A key element of that was developing the structure to support e-learning offerings. Although Vaughn's primary focus is currently in-person events, she plans to launch multiple online offerings that include video sessions and digital resources.

Quartet Identity

Kim Vaughn is rarely without a quartet for long. Her most recent foursome, MX includes husband Dale Vaughn as well as Connie Mitchell and Melanie Jewell. As momentum for the group grew, Nicknox developed identity options and translated these into apparel and booking cards.
