Principal Parry

Lisa Parry is a veteran English teacher (1994-present) and TK-12 principal (2018-present). She is proud to lead a 2021 National Blue Ribbon Elementary School and a 2020 ESEA Distinguished Elementary School. Some of Parry’s most gratifying work includes serving as a co-developer and facilitator of the South Dakota Department of Education’s Good to Great Teacher Mentoring Program. Now in her 30th year as an educator, Lisa is a frequent keynote speaker, facilitator, trainer and coach. She has presented at TEDx, the National Blue Ribbon School Conference, the Making Schools Work Conference and the Small Schools Leaders Conference.

Kim Vaughn is a three-time International Quartet Champion and Queen of Harmony. She is also a Certified Sound Judge, Master Sweet Adelines International Faculty member, and a member of the Region 21 Hall of Fame. Kim's renowned accomplishments in competitive Barbershop include the 2014 Sweet Adelines International Lifetime Achievement Award and a Master Director 700 designation. Kim has performed with three International Queen of Harmony award-winning quartets including High Society (1976), Savvy (1988) and A Cappella Gold (2001).  Kim served as musical director of the San Diego Chorus from 1985 - 2014 and served as musical director when the chorus was awarded their second International Championship in 2001. Kim coaches individuals, quartets and choruses worldwide and is a frequently reqested educator and adjudicator.

Global Gumbo with Amikaeyla

Global Gumbo was an edutainment concept for a children’s program pitched to PBS Kids by musician and healer Amikayla Gaston. The episodic format centered around musician Mama Ami and Wisdom Tree as central characters. Accompanied by a curious crew of kids and animals, the unique cast of characters introduced and explored fun facts about new cultures from around the world via an engaging, kid-friendly, musical program.
